Arrival to Yerevan, meeting at Zvartnots International airport. Transfer to the hotel, leisure time. After breakfast we visit: Matenadaran – Institute of ancient manuscripts. Here are kept more than 17,000 manuscripts and the collection is constantly updated with new discoveries, acquisitions and gifts. Visit to Cafesjian Centre for the Arts, which was dedicated to bringing the best of contemporary art to Armenia. Lunch at a restaurant. A walking tour in the city center of Yerevan, which is one of the oldest cities in the world. We’ll see the Republic Square, the National Opera and Ballet Theatre, Northern Avenue, Abovyan street -one of the oldest and well-known streets of the capital, cultural – architectural complex Cascade. Dinner at the traditional restaurant.
Day 2
Yerevan, Geghard, Garni, Sevan, Yerevan
After breakfast a trip to the cave Monastery Geghard listed in the UNESCO. Photo stop near the Arche of Charents where one can enjoy the beautiful view of Mount Ararat. Enjoy the master class of traditional baking ceremony of Armenian bread lavash and later continue to the only survived Armenian pagan temple of Garni. The last destination is Lake Sevan and Sevanavank monastery located on the peninsula of the lake. Lunch at a local restaurant and return to Yerevan. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 3
Yerevan, Echmiadzin, Zvartnots, Yerevan
After breakfast we will start our trip to Echmiadzin, the spiritual and administrative Centre of the Armenian Apostolic Church. We will participate in the Sunday Mass at the Holy See of Echmiadzin’s main cathedral. Visit the Church of St. Hripsime (7th century). On the way back stop at the ruins of Zvartnots Cathedral (7th century). Return to Yerevan. Visit the famous open air market “Vernissage” – a large open air market of Armenian folk art, handmade masterpieces and jewelries. Lunch in a traditional restaurant, where we’ll see the baking process of Armenian traditional flatbread, lavash. Free time. Transfer to the airport and departure.
