Arrival to Yerevan, meeting at Zvartnots International airport. Transfer to the hotel, leisure time. After lunch we will start our city tour with the visit to Matenadaran. Here we’ll find the world’s largest collection of Armenian illuminated manuscripts, and one of the largest collections of any kind in the world. Afterwards, we will walk around the historic city centre of Yerevan and see: The Republic Square, The Government House, The History Museum and the National Gallery, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Transport and Communications. Then we will cross the street to Northern Avenue and visit The Opera House and Cascade Complex. Free time and overnight in Yerevan.
Day 2
Yerevan, Garni, Geghard, Yerevan
After breakfast we’ll start our trip to Garni and Geghar where we will also enjoy a short hiking tour in the gorge of Garni. Return to Yerevan. Visit Armenian National Zoo. Free time and overnight in Yerevan.
Day 3
Yerevan, Echmiadzin, Khor Virap, Yerevan
Breakfast in the hotel. Today we will visit the Mother Cathedral of Armenian Apostolic Church, The Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin which is considered the oldest cathedral in the world. The Cathedral was listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2000. We will visit its unique museum, where holy relics and religious art are exhibited. Then our trip will bring us to Khor Virap – one of the most popular destinations in Armenia. It is the place where St. Gregory the Illuminator was imprisoned for 13 years. Today we can visit the underground chamber which he was imprisoned in. After we will have a picnic lunch – enjoying Armenian fresh meals surrounded by Armenian unique nature. Return to Yerevan. In the evening we’ll spend an amusing time in “Play City”. It is a smart place where each can find various activities: karting, bowling, boggy, game machines, 7D cinema, bumper-car, mini golf, paint ball, billiards, as well as restaurant and cafe bar.
Day 4
Yerevan, Oshakan, Ashtarak, Byurakan, Yerevan
Breakfast in the hotel. Visit to Oshakan village which is known as a burial place of the founder of the Armenian alphabet Mesrop Mashtots. Continue to Byurakan village and visit its world famous Observatory named after V. Hambartsumian. Free time and return to Yerevan. Overnight in the capital.
Day 5
Yerevan, Sevan, Tsaghkadzor
Breakfast in the hotel. Starting our trip to Sevan – the largest lake in Armenia and the Caucasus region. It’s one of the largest fresh-water high-altitude lakes in the world. There are numerous beaches along the entire lake shore. The area includes numerous campgrounds and picnic areas for daytime use. Our trip will continue to the resort town of Tsaghkadzor which means valley of flowers and is the most popular resort in Armenia. Lunch in a local restaurant. After we’ll enjoy the ropeway which goes high up to mountains and give impressive emotions. Return to the hotel, rest. In the evening we’ll spend unforgettable time, playing different plays and organizing а couple of exciting competitions. Overnight in Tsaghkadzor.
Day 6
Tsaghkadzor, Yerevan
Breakfast in the hotel. Transfer to Yerevan, leisure time. Lunch in a “King garden” – family entertainment centre. Today we’ll have an opportunity to visit TUMO Centre for Creative Technologies. It’s a digital media learning centre equipped with state of art digital technology, and is staffed by educators and media professionals. After we will spend grate time in Equestrian Centre where each will explore adventures in horse riding. The main disciplines here are show jumping, dressage and horse racing, which has become more popular in Yerevan.
Day 7
Yerevan, Botanical Garden, Geological Museum
Breakfast in the hotel. Today we’ll visit Yerevan Botanical Garden. Its collection includes more than 200 species of endemic, rare and declining plants, and provides a basis for the study of Armenian flora and the ecological interactions of species, in a relatively natural environment. Lunch in a local restaurant. After lunch we’ll visit The Geological museum named after H. Karapetyan. This museum is likely to be the newest in Armenia though it was founded 75 years ago. Here are kept minerals collected all over the world, in its most remote corners. Among them there are many rare ones. Today the Geological Museum is also an educational centre. There are the Young Geologist Club and the Young Ecologist club here.
