Arrival to Yerevan, meeting at Zvartnots International airport. Transfer to the hotel. Leisure time. Lunch at the traditional restaurant, where each can taste delicious national dishes. Visit to “Ararat” brandy factory with excursion through the museum and brandy tasting. Short city tour around Yerevan, which is one of the oldest cities in the world. We will see the central streets of Yerevan: The Republic Square, Northern Avenue, Opera House, cultural – architectural complex Cascade, the Mother Armenia monument with a panoramic view of the city and biblical Mount Ararat. Dinner at the restaurant full of original Armenian atmosphere. Here you will enjoy delicious dishes and live music.
Day 2
Yerevan, Geghard, Garni, Lake Sevan, Yerevan
Breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Today we start our trip to the cave monastery Geghard which is a unique architectural construction being partially carved out of the adjacent mountain, surrounded by cliffs. Then we continue to the pagan temple Garni. Here we will have a jeep tour driving from the temple to the Garni gorge just below the village with the same name. Along the sides of the gorge are cliff walls of well-preserved basalt columns, carved out by the Goght River. This portion of the Garni Gorge is typically referred to as the “Symphony of the Stones”. Trip to the Lake Sevan – one of the most beautiful and largest mountain lakes in the world, the lake is bordered on all sides by high mountain ridges. Here we have boat trip on Sevan lake with lunch made by Armenian cuisine masters. You will taste crayfish with beer and the famous variety of fish – lake trout, that is called ishkhan (which means prince). Return to Yerevan, free time. Dinner in a beerhouse where you will taste Armenian beer. In the evening you will have an opportunity to enjoy a night show.
Day 3
Yerevan, Aragats, Yerevan
Today we will have an early trip to the mount Aragats to taste one of the most popular dishes of Armenian cuisine – Khash (we advise not to have breakfast in the hotel). Khash is one of the most festive Armenian dishes eaten mostly in the cold season. Its cooking and consumption is highly stylized and it is enjoyed early in the morning with good amounts of garlic and vodka. Transfer to the hotel to have a rest as it’s another tradition to sleep a lot after a khash party. Dinner at the traditional restaurant. In the evening we invite you to spend your time in Shangri La casino in Yerevan, where established international standards of service and security. You can play at variety of tables with classic games or choose from hundreds of modern slot machines.
Day 4
Yerevan
Breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Today we have a full day of entertaining program. Visit to “Ten out of Ten” Shooting Club, which offers the art of archery. The visitors are served and trained by qualified sportsmen instructors. Fresh air, merry environment, the best horses are offered in the club. A professional 25 meter shooting ground designed for 6 riflemen, a shooting ground for skeet and trap shooting is also offered. Lunch in a local house Three Jugs – a perfect place to relax and enjoy the Armenian hospitality, apricot garden, nice weather, homemade food and fruit vodka specially brought for you from mountain villages. Here you will have an opportunity to make Armenian famous barbecue (khorovats). Khorovats-making is exclusively a man’s job! Return to hotel. Free time. Farewell dinner in a restaurant.
