Arrival in Yerevan, transfer to the hotel. City tour in the center of Yerevan, with a visit to the Cascade, the Opera House, the North Avenue and the Republic Square with the singing fountains.
Day 2
Tsaghkadzor, Lake Sevan
Transfer to Tsaghkadzor resort. Accommodation at the hotel. Visiting the monastery complex Kecharis (13th century). Walking uphill to climb the second Tsahkunyats cable car station (2246m, rise time – 1.5 hours, the descent – 40 minutes). Lunch in a local restaurant with a view of the Lake Sevan. Visit to the main Olympic base. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 3
Apaga – Gomer
Check-in the recreation club in Gomer Ijevan, placed in the stone houses. Introduction to the Club. Enjoy your lunch here. Afternoon walk to the old oil mill, located on the slope above the river Hachahpyur. On the way back you will visit the residents of summer pasture for the evening milking Taliner cows.
Day 4
Apaga – Gomer
The route length is 3600m and the journey time is 3 hours. The route passes at the altitudes of 1380m – 1146m which is ideal for acclimatization. Can be organized on horseback, on foot or combined. Route begins on the basis of equestrian complex Apaga – Gomer (1380m). Throughout the route, forest alternates with meadows. We will lead to Kanacher – a cave with a perfectly pure spring. After the cave (1146m) we will climb up to 1260m for 20 minutes, then a small descent to 234m and further to reach one of the most remarkable sections of the route – to walnut grove. Along the route crosses a small creek (swimmers can cool off in the stone baptismal font Garsevani Gel). Return to the starting point – Gomer.
Day 5
Apaga – Gomer
After breakfast we depart from Gomer. First stop is Chanchi Kar (Stone of Fly) – an installation, siding with rocks, at the first part of the way there going to be descending through forst to altitude 1238m, then a section of little ascent by path running along the rocks of Chanchi Kar up to 1241m. Later we will continue to Khach (Cross) lost in the lush forest where you will also find a huge amount of khachkars both intact and broken. We will continue our way to the Donkey Canyon where the route becomes more rough. At the bank of Khachaghpyur river we will find a cave complex which consists of two monuments: Small Hermitage and a 13th century construction. This place is also famous as Lastiver. After lunch we will start to go back to Gomer.
Day 6
Apaga- Gomer
Today’s route begins at the west gate of the club “Apaga-Gomer.” We will hike and go on horseback for approximately 4 hours. Here on this path one can make a wish at the “Tree of Love”! The path goes through the woods past the sparse thickets of blackberry and rosehip, strawberry fields and mint bushes. Continuing the rise of 450m and you will reach to a meadow strewn, with flowers from early spring to late autumn. Glade is a bright green, red, yellow, purple, white, and with has a wonderful view of the river gorge Hachahpyur. An ideal place for recreation, air and sun baths, meditation. Later after 500m we will reach the ledge stone VansiKap array, which passes along the Path of the Hermit. On the cornice are seen petrified dragon and shape of male and female figures frozen in a tree. They can tell you the story of the conductors. Here you can have a rest and later descend into the grotto, which is called MamhutiEyr by locals. Later we go to the alpine meadows, rising to a height of 1780m to pasture PstiSar. Here we will meet shepherds and their camps. Go back to Gomer through PuchurSar where you will have a convenient footpath climbs. Dinner and overnight.
Day 7
Yerevan
Return to Yerevan. Accommodation at the hotel. Leisure time. In the evening farewell dinner in national restaurant.
